Our Approach
Through our Reggio Emilia approach, children are encouraged to follow their natural curiosity and to investigate, explore, and experiment in the world around them. Through a combination of curriculum and guided projects, new ideas and topics are introduced to foster a love of learning.

Learning Environment
Allendale Columbia’s Little School features a brand new, specially designed classroom comprised of comfortable and inviting spaces for children to actively engage and explore. Children also enjoy our outdoor play space and all that nature has to offer across our beautiful 33-acre campus.

School begins in early September and operates year-round, with the exception of Winter Break, Spring Break, week of Fourth of July, and the week before Labor Day.

Pre-Primary
Our philosophy is to respond to the individual developmental needs of each child based on a healthy blend of these research-based programs. -
Lower School
A place where our students in Kindergarten through Fifth Grade are free to explore, encouraged to take risks, and develop their own voice. -
Middle School
Middle School at Allendale Columbia is a time of growth, transition, and tremendous excitement. -
Upper School
Students experience a variety of teaching styles including seminar-style classrooms, lectures, writing workshops, and collaborative learning.
At Allendale Columbia, we prepare students for the world they will inherit. In our trusting and responsive environment, students 18 months through grade 12 grow in confidence and develop scholastic independence.
